A Word From
Our Membership Chairman
I hope all of you are weathering this hard Winter we've been experiencing this year. When the temperature is low and there is snow on the ground, it tends to make us hibernate within our homes. Why not come down, stop in and see the progress that's been made at our Center over the past few months? Grab yourself a hot cup of tea, a slice of soda bread, and check out our library. We already have an amazing collection of magazines, newspapers, books and CDs for you to peruse and borrow from. As a Member of the Irish Heritage Center, this is just another benefit of belonging to a great organization.
As Spring is just around the corner, our thoughts naturally turn to what we Irish refer to as the "Green Season" - and, more importantly, St. Patrick's Day! This year, our Center is offering an even grander affair than we did last year for the party following the parade in Downtown Cincinnati on Saturday, March 12th. And, of course, on March 17th - the Feast of St. Patrick. So mark you calendar and bring all of your family and friends down for some great Irish craic (Irish for good times). The price is only $5.00 for adults and children are free. For members? Admission is free as well! Another great benefit to consider!
The advantages of of our Center's membership keep growing as we grow. If you purchased a membership in 2010, now it the time to renew. Our yearly membership runs from March 17th, 2011 to March 16th, 2012. Please mail, stop in, or renew your membership by phone.
Remember, by your financial contribution, you assist in the running and upkeep of the Irish Heritage Center as we write a living history of Irish traditions here in Cincinnati.
I hope to see you at the many events we have scheduled for the upcoming year. Slan go foill (Goodbye for now).
