TOM BOYER -A great Irish American has passed on
Dear friend,
Goodbye we will all miss you. Tom you have been so kind and giving to so many, thank you for who you are and all you have done to support the Irish Community.
There are so many memories.
First I remember when you said becoming a Hibernian "changed your life", you proudly stood by your brothers participating in all that the Hibernians are. It was wonderful to see your dedication.
Next fond memory was seeing you fall in love with Ginny. It was so joyful to be a part of your romance. To witness the tears of happiness at your wedding touched everyone. Ginny will always hold you in her heart, you are her heart. Thank you for loving her so deeply.
And of course I cannot forget all you gave to the Irish Heritage Center. Those days as a volunteer you did everything! Pick ups, verbal encouragement, cleaning, plastering, hauling, grilling, pulling- pints, painting, and as St. Patrick. The happiness you spread to all who walked into these halls was amazing-- your laughs as our patron Saint --the blessings you gave-- the children's awe while you told tales of the Emerald Isle.
Best of all was the fullness in your heart.
Never will we forget the many many moments that touched all our lives.
Life was too short for you dear friend, it is hard to say goodbye.
There is comfort knowing you are in heaven.
Goodbye dear friend, I will see you again sometime.
Save a place in heaven for each and every one of us.
"Safe Home"
with love,
Mo
Here is an Old Irish Blessing for a "Safe Home"
May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
and the rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hallow of His hand.
