1916 presentation with Dr. Ray Hebert former Dean of Thomas More College specializing in History and Literature of Irish Nationalism and chair of history on International Studies. 7pm.

February 27th, 2016 - Saturday
Author Larry Kirwan's Blood - a story from 1916. Larry is a Writer/ Musician, most noted as the lead singer of Black 47, an Irish rock band. 7pm.

St Patrick's Parade Day Afters, including the Opening of the 1916 Exhibit in the Library and Museum with stories, medals, press, periodicals, rare photos, artifacts - 3pm.

March 17th, 2016 - Thursday
Irish Mass in the Center at 2:00 PM in memory of those who have gone before us, focusing on the men and women of 1916 -following celebration within the entire center including music, dance, food and friendship.

The Easter Rising Commemoration

March 28th, 2016 - Easter Monday
Meet at the Memorial Plaque dedicated to our first Irish immigrant ancestors who arrived on the Waterfront of the Ohio River - 5:30 PM Public Reading of the Proclamation followed by Irish Center for soup - soda bread, and Dr. William H.A. Williams presentation of the Rising in song & stories with the Blue Rock Boys and the Irish American Theater Company. Bill is a former professor at University College Dublin, Union Institute Cincinnati , Author of many articles and several books including Tourism, Landscape and the Irish Character/Creating Irish Tourism/ 'Twas Only An Irishman's Dream/ Tho' It Were Ten Thousand Miles (also developed into an award-winning full length play) / Galway Girl; and a musical Maggie Murphy's Home.

NEW Service! Child Watch

If you would like to see the play and your child is with you, take advantage of our Child Watch in the Dance Room. Parents, members of IHC and audience members are eligible to participate in this opportunity. You can be at the event and have the children near. Call the center for more details, organized by the young parent members of the IHC. This is available by pre-reservation for performances on special dates. Call 513-533-0100 for more details.

Lots to do to create this amazing center of Irish Heritage. Your contributions will make a difference from filing, sweeping to painting, plumbing, staging -- there is a spot for each and everyone.
